Preventive Medical Services

  • Consultations to follow the child’s physical and psychomotor development: these include check-ups at different ages, such as on discharge from maternity, at 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 6 months, 9 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months and 36 months.
  • Consultations for preventive health services in adults: These include regular medical checkups for prevention of diseases with major consequences in morbidity and mortality.
  • Smoking cessation counseling: Counseling sessions for patients who want to quit smoking.
  • Health education: Informing and educating patients about healthy lifestyle, disease prevention and chronic disease management.
  • Preventive consultations for children (0-18 years) according to CNAS calendar.
  • Preventive consultations for adults:
    – 18-39 years: 1 consultation/year;
    – 40+ years: 1-3 consultations/year for risk assessment.
  • Pregnancy and lactation monitoring:
    – Screening (1 consultation);
    – Monthly surveillance in 2nd and 3rd trimester;
    – Postpartum consultations.
  • Detection of chronic diseases through screening:
    – Hypertension;
    – Diabetes mellitus;
    – Chronic kidney disease;
    – Colorectal, breast, cervical cancer.
